Key expertise
The main expertise of Ada lies in peace and security. This includes conflict analysis and mainstreaming conflict sensitivity methods in development programs. In the area of security, she specialized in security sector reform and planning and preparation for civil police deployments in UN and African Union peacekeeping operations.
(Academic) education / CV:
Ada obtained her Master of Arts in Intercultural Communication and European Studies at the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda, Germany. During her studies, she specialized in methods of conflict analysis and transformation. Ada did her Bachelor of Arts in Armenia and the United States.
Before joining BiCC, Ada worked for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zussammenarbeit (GIZ) as peace advisor, mainstreaming conflict-sensitive approaches in program planning and monitoring. From 2009 to 2012, she supported justice and security sector reforms in Sierra Leone and Liberia through GIZ on behalf of the German Foreign Office. The program focused on strengthening institutional capacities of the national police forces.
