New BICC Website: More information and greater clarity

February 5, 2009

Bonn. On 5 February, BICC (Bonn International Center for Conversion) will present its new Internet homepage: www.bicc.de. In its 15th year of existence, the international peace and conflict research center thus offers the web user even more information and service – both in English and in German.

“With an even more user-friendly navigation, we want to offer the public a better insight into our work“, Peter J. Croll, Director of BICC, points out. The section ‘Our work’ refers to BICC’s current active ties and comprises the following areas:

The offered services of BICC—applied research, consultancy, capacity-building, and public relations—are made transparent by the new Internet presence.

Further links lead to publications, events, press and six independent project websites. All other information worth knowing about BICC can be found at "About" – such as BICC staff, boards, internships, job offers, and contact. The monthly BICC newsletter can still be ordered on-line.

A clear structure and graphic arrangement makes most of the contents of www.bicc.de accessible to people with disabilities.

BICC also offers a new service – RSS-newsfeeds – on current press, publications and events.

"Since its inception in 1994, BICC has continuously developed its work with regard to the national and international agenda. With applied research, consultancy, capacity-building and public relations, BICC promotes and facilitates peace and development. This is exactly what is reflected by our new website,” Croll explains.
