BICC publishes various series: The annual report provides insight into BICC’s work by including short articles describing the experience, objectives, results and key research areas of selected projects. A financial report provides information on BICC’s financial situation. BICC briefs feature elementary findings from within the institute and accompanying publications to BICC’s conferences. BICC briefs are peer reviewed before they are published. BICC papers feature discussions of topics within BICC’s range of activities mostly from authors outside of BICC. BICC occasional papers are peer reviewed before they are published. The BICC focus provides advice to national and international policymakers and, on the basis of BICC expertise, gives explicit policy recommendations on current developments. The BICC feature series includes short statements, comments, analyses. The BICC bulletin is a quarterly newsletter with a topical feature, a staff spotlight, project reports and notes.

The annual Friedensgutachten (State of Peace Report) is the joint publication of the five major German peace research institutions with an interdisciplinary analysis of select current conflicts from a peace and conflict research perspective. It is funded by the German Foundation for Peace Research (DSF).

Sustainable Peace and Global Security Governance is an international scientific book series co-published by BICC.
