Sudan - Stakeholder workshop
Capacity-building on small arms control and DD&R in Southern Sudan
Over the past two years, BICC has brought together a variety of local and international stakeholders working on issues of small arms control and community security in Southern Sudan, including, among others, members of GOSS, the Southern Sudan DDR Commission (SSDDRC), the Juba Post, IPCS, UNDP, World Vision and Pact Sudan.
The main goals of these annual meetings is to 
help coordinate BICC's activities with other local initiatives and processes, to disseminate the results of our respective efforts in Southern Sudan, to update and plan for upcoming activities, and to share information and strengthen partnerships between those on the ground. The workshops have also helped to identify joint priorities, capacities and opportunities to help promote community security and arms control in Southern Sudan.
