His main interest, at BICC, is to extend and gain further expertise in the field of political and institutional transformation. He has lived and conducted field research in Egypt before and after the demise of Mubarak. During his university studies, he focused on causes of civil war, on post-conflict peace processes, peacekeeping missions, election and party systems in East and North Africa.
(Academic) education / CV:
Ahmed holds an MA in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Duisburg-Essen and worked as a (Photo-)Journalist during the Egyptian Revolution of 2011. At present, he is lecturing about the Egyptian Transformation process at the University of Witten/Herdecke.
