MA in Political Science (2015)

Carina studied Political Science and Cultural Anthropology at the Universities of Göttingen and Bonn and studied abroad at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as well as at the Université Paris-Sorbonne. She completed several internships, amongst others at the Society for Threatened Peoples (GfbV) and the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy Hamburg (IFSH). During her studies she received a scholarship from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. Carina is interested in questions of ethnicity and conflict, actor fragmentation and local networks; her regional focus is the Middle East. As a PhD-researcher at BICC, she focuses on translocal dynamics of the Kurdish question in the Middle East. She is further involved in the research area of arms exports control.
