(Academic) education / CV:

Nuria Grigoriadis is leading the SALW control project. Before joining BICC, she implemented for almost 10 years peace and security projects in Africa with the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). In Ghana, she supported the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre, especially in civilian training courses such as DDR. In Ethiopia, she assisted the African Union in the operationalisation of the African Peace and Security Architecture and worked with IGAD and the European Union on cross-border collaboration in the border region between Ethiopia and Sudan.

Nuria Grigoriadis holds a Magister degree from the University of Leipzig in Political Science and African Studies. During her studies, she spent a year at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, UK.
