Nadia Ali joined BICC in May 2021. She holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Freiburg. Her master’s thesis investigated Financing Climate Adaptation using a political economy analysis framework. As a research assistant at the University of Freiburg, she contributed to an EU-funded project, “Urbana for Sustainable and Just Cities”. At the World Wide Fund for Nature, Pakistan (WWF-P), she implemented an action research project.
As a PhD researcher at BICC, she is investigating China’s New Silk Road Initiative in North Rhine-Westphalia and Pakistan, a sub-project of the overarching project “De:link//Re:link: Local perspectives on transregional process of entanglements and disentanglements”.
