JRF Event \ LebensWert Wasser

On 11 January 2018, the Johannes-Rau-Forschungsgemeinschaft invites to the event “LebensWert Wasser – How does water connect NRW and the world?” (in German) in Düsseldorf. By showcasing current research results and concrete examples, the JRF-institutes BICC, DIE, FiW, ILS and IWW shed light on the topic of ‘water’ from different professional perspectives.

The following questions will be discussed:

  • How can NRW contribute to countering the ‘water crisis’?
  • Which effects do our consumer habits have on environmental- and living conditions in the regions of the world that are affected by a shortage of water?
  • Is it possible to balance economic, environmental and social goals of water use with an integrated water resource management?
  • Which positive side effects are there for cities that are situated near clean rivers, and what can NRW teach the world?
