JRF \ Professor Dr Uwe Schneidewind receives Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany
The former board member of the Johannes Rau Research Foundation (JRF) and the scientific director of the Wuppertal Institute, Professor Dr Uwe Schneidewind, was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit (member) by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the suggestion of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

On 15 July 2020, Federal Minister of Research Anja Karliczek presented Uwe Schneidewind with the Cross of Merit during a small ceremony in Berlin. He was thus honoured for his outstanding scientific commitment and his impulses for the further development of sustainability and transformation research.
