The Peace Report is the joint yearbook of the institutes of peace and conflict research in Germany: the Protestant Institute for Interdisciplinary Research in Heidelberg (FEST), the Institute for Development and Peace (INEF), the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg (IFSH), the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (HSFK) and the Bonn International Center for Conversion (BICC). It has been annually published since 1987 and is presented in the summer of each year at the Federal Press Conference. Scholars from a range of disciplines examine current international conflicts from a peace-studies perspective. Their analyses are the basis for the editors’ statement which summarizes and assesses the results and formulates recommendations for peace and security policies in Germany and Europe. The Peace Report 2015, supported by the Deutsche Stiftung Friedensforschung (DSF), is published on behalf of the institutes by Janet Kursawe, Ines-Jacqueline Werkner, Margret Johannsen, Claudia Baumgart-Ochse and Marc von Boemcken.
