[Event] National Training on physical security and stockpile management (PSSM) in Banjul, The Gambia
- BICC, together with the Small Arms Division of the ECOWAS Commission, supported a national training on physical security and stockpile management (PSSM) with a special focus on the storage of ammunition for 20 participants from both the Gambian Armed Forces as well as the Gambian Police.
- Monday, 14 October 2019: This course, conducted by the German Verification Center (ZVBw) and financed by the German Foreign Office, aimed at using as well as tailoring international small arms and ammunition control standards to local contexts. It follows an official request by the Gambian government earlier this year to the ECOWAS Commission to support the nation’s weapons and ammunition storage capacities. It was generously funded by the German Federal Foreign Office.
