- The African Union (AU) together with the Regional Centre on Small Arms (RECSA) supported by the German Federal Foreign Office and BICC hosted a two-day workshop on the operationalisation of cross-border cooperation on countering the illicit trafficking of small arms and light weapons (SALW), which took place from 18 to 19 September 2019 in Nairobi.
- The workshop was attended by delegations from Kenya, South Sudan and Ethiopia, as well as relevant national and regional actors and specialised agencies and provided a platform to discuss relevant issues and requirements necessary for establishing, deepening or harmonising cooperation to counter illicit cross-border trafficking of SALW.
