Republic of Moldova faces an accelerating demographic crisis, driven by emigration and a shrinking population. The arrival of Ukrainian refugees has introduced both opportunities and challenges to an already strained labor market and public services. This article explores the intersection of demographic decline and Ukrainian forced displacement, analyzing Moldova’s integration policies, labor needs, education system, public perceptions, and political dynamics.
