  • Militarisation and arms control

Non-state armed groups (NSAGs) on the African continent are increasingly using drones for attacks against state forces and civilians. Due to the simplicity of drone technology, their proliferation cannot be stopped completely. However, the African Union and its member states can take several measures to curb the proliferation of drones to NSAGs—for example, national regulation and continental coordination.

"The African Union has realised that the avail ability of drones to NSAGs can pose a serious threat to state forces and civilians." │Share on LinkedIn
