Jonas Spekker holds a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Geography from the University of Leipzig. He is currently a graduate student of the joint Master’s degree ‘M.Sc. Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security’ at the University of Bonn and the United Nations University. Jonas spent six months each in Liberia (2013) and Sierra Leone (2018), where he worked in development-related NGOs and gained profound insight into local politics and history. He joined the Data and GIS department at BICC in June 2021.
