Professional Career

Amelie is a Master's student in International Relations in the joint program of Free University of Berlin, Humboldt University of Berlin, and the University of Potsdam. She previously completed her Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Ethnology at the University of Bonn.

During her Bachelor's degree, she spent a semester abroad at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador in Quito and completed an internship at “Mujeres por la Equidad de Género y la Autonomía – MEGA” in Ecuador, an organisation that is dedicated to women's rights and the fight against gender-based violence. In her Bachelor's thesis, she examined the intersections of indigenous and feminist movements in Ecuador, critically reflecting on the concept of Indigenous Feminism.

At bicc, Amelie supports the Sahel project, which focuses on regional approaches to dealing with armed groups in the region.
